Hey my friends! Just dropping by to let you know I'll be at Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Lancaster, PA this Saturday, January 12, 2008 from 12 noon to 2 pm. If you happen to be in the area, I'll be signing copies of The One Year Life Verse Devotional, a recent release from Tyndale House that has published my story, A Family Verse. I'd love to see you!
Now if you can't travel from England, Oregon, Canada, or California, I totally understand! But I do ask for your prayers for me and my author friends Connie Pombo and Michele C. Scott as we reach out into the community with the life-giving words of Jesus Christ! Besides, prayer travels much farther than a car or a plane or a train and it reaches the One who holds the whole world in His Almighty hand!
Talk with you all soon!
Live the adventure,
Susan

I wish I could get there! Will be praying for the three of you.
Hey Dot, thanks. Georgia is a bit far me thinks :) On a somber note, I've been following the story about the girl hiker that was murdered down there. Horrible, horrible thing. I pray that justice will be done (one day in Heaven, if not on earth) and for God to comfort the family.
I could probably get there--a two hour ride-- but that would interfere with all the pressing other things. Thanks for the invite! But you are so right--prayers travel much faster. Blessings to all of you. Sounds great.
Oh how I wish South Carolina wasn't so far away. I LOVE Lancaster. I used to live in NJ when I was a child and we used to take weekend trips as a family there. And, of course, I would love to meet in person someone who loves the Lord so much and writes so beautifully here. Bless you. Praying that many will stop by and visit and be touched by HIM. What a powerful story of God's greatness and compassion you tell!
Hi ya Maxine - it's a two hour drive for me too - LOL! I totally understand about the pressing part (smile). I always seem to be rushing around. I just read something the other day about all our busyness. Jesus never rushed around. Hmmm... and I'll add to that thought that look how much He accomplished in three years? Now of course, He is the Son of God, but it has given me much food for thought! Since we're somewhat close in proximity, maybe we can get together for a brunch one day? I'd love to meet you!
I wish i could be there for the occasion and bought a book too.
If there was a misprinted or defective copy the publishers are throwing away I 'd take it.
Hi ya Kim, aren't you so sweet! Wow, you're a former Jersey girl, huh? I live in Bucks County, PA about 2 hours from Lancaster, but love visting both Lancaster and the NJ shore! Thank you for your prayers. I really appreciate it! One of these days, our family hopes do some vacationing down South.
Hi Amrita, you're a sweetie for sure. Alas, I have to buy my own books, how's that for the wonderful world of publishing? (smile) Thanks for stopping by my blog. We can always visit this way with a click of the button!
Greetings, Susan!
I will be praying for you! Isn't is so exciting to see what God has planned for 2008?
Blessings,
Tracy
Hey Susan,
My sons said they would attend, so that makes two (and the three of us). There's a possible five people?!?!? I think it's old stuff to them, but they come to make me happy. Umm...
I sent out a blitz in a Constant Contact invitation and so we'll pray that God has who He intends to have there!
Hugs to you!
sorry yes it's a long travel from England but i'll be with you all in spirit ;o]
I would love to be there too! TN is too far too. But I am lifting prayers for you now too and I am asking God to put you on my heart Saturday especially. May your light shine brightly for Him!
Blessings,
Angela
How wonderful and exciting for you!!!

Tracy, thanks for the prayers and yes, each day is an adventure!
Connie, my friend and fellow author, I can't wait to see you. We really have to make it more often than our book events! And yes, we'll pray exactly that!

Dear Susan, those places are to far away for me to come but I will sure be praying for you and the others. May God bless all your efforts.

Angie, thank you. It's all about Jesus :)
Stephen, yes, I think you won Connie's contest for a chick/lit fiction book, much more for your wife than you I'm afraid. So, I don't think you missed out on anything on that one. Good choice to pass it to your dear wife and then on to another lady. (smile) Have a great day!
Mike, you're welcome.
Gudl, thank you. I'll let you know if I ever head your way!
Connie, thank you. Pray changes things. I value your friendship and your honest and heartfelt writing that shows people Jesus.

Have a wonderful time!
Love,
Sue

So when are you coming to Colorado? We'd love to have you out here! Have a wonderful time and give Connie a big hug from me.
I'll be praying! Have fun. May God open doors of good conversation.
G'day from Australia,
I came here from Colleen's blog. As a fellow author I'd love to be there to support you at the book signing - but it's a long, long way to fly!
Jan, I would love to come to your state someday, if not on a book tour, then just to stand in awe of those mountains! Jared's looking into Col. Christian College, so who knows? We might be visiting in the next year! And I'll give Connie a hug for you :)
Sharon, thank you my friend. That means alot to me :)
Hi David, welcome! A fellow author, eh? And from Australia? How very cool! Thanks for your kind words. I love visiting Collen's blog too, she's quite creative and funny, isn't she?
Blessings to you Susan..I think about you very very often but have been trying to figure out how to make the every day a walk moment by moment in faith.
I have to admit I'm tired though..:) but still experience living through Jesus' abundant grace and kindness.
My prayers are with you..how cool, another book signing! I've been writing a little, hoping to send some stuff out freelance..but don't exactly know where to begin. It's mainly food stuff..reviews and what not..although a friend sent me some links to christian publications in California. Always can use the prayer! :)
Much love to you and your wonderful family!
Laurie
Hope it went well today my friend. I was there with you in spirit!

Kim
I've tagged you on my blog if you'd like to play!
Aw Laurie, so good to hear from you. I see you've posted on your site. I have been waiting for a few moments to really sit down and drink in what you've written then comment. Your posts are always so insightful. Thank you for your encouragement. Yes, that every day walk... some days I do better than others, but, as I confess my blunders to the Only perfect One, He is faithful to forgive and gives a brand new start. His mercies are new every morning, Praise God, I need it! I need Jesus.
Becky, Barbara, Angela, and Kim, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I'll give an update soon :) I'm off right now to get my youngest to school :)
Much love to you all!
Jan, I'll take a look a little later today :) Thanks!
