Anyone here in need of an attitude check? I know I am! I just read a really short, great and very convicting post at Comfort Cafe. (Click here if you dare.) It's not your typical Mary/Martha post.
Now, I'm not one of those gourmet type cooks, but I tend to get easily overwhelmed with tasks at hand. I've often complained, "How am I ever going to get it all done? There's not enough hours in the day."
The real question is not so much how, but what. What is my attitude about the tasks at hand. Am I letting the Holy Spirit do His work in me with the everyday tasks - in the mundane chores that I tend to avoid? How about you?
Live the adventure,
Susan

I love it when my heats goes out, I get to catch up on blogging. I'm huddled over my laptop and I'm freezing. When I looked at the polar bears again, I had to think maybe a polar bear suit wouldn't be a bad idea. Okay, attitude check, the heater guy is on his way and I won't freeze to death (yet!).
HUGS!
I was doing that but not any more. I simply do as much as I can and I am not upset if I don;t get everything done. Funny thing though, I am now getting everything done. I guess all I had to do was stop worrying about things. Great post.
HI Susan,
I read that post as well...you were braver to write about it...lol...it does all come down to attitude...this morning my one daughter has a different speed than the rest of us and I was a bit puzzled that she decided to take a shower with so little time before we needed to be out the door...the choice to fume and break her spirit or take a deep breath and trust that she will honor her word...which she did...you are so right...not the how but the what!
Bless you ,
Helen
I am learning to leave more and more things and live in the moment, which is a big break through for me, but wow - my attitude isn't always lining up with it. Timely reminder indeed and I am so pleased you put this post up and directed us to the Martha one. Hope you are having a great week.
I get upset too easily. Definately something I need to work on.
Connie, a fur coat, what a good idea :) Of course, I'd have no where to wear it - lol! I'm glad I got your email that your heat's fixed! PTL!
Greg, way to go my friend, that's letting go and letting God as they say.
Helen, hmmm, brave or impulsive... nah, I'm glad I posted on this. I'm not perfect for sure. God's still working on me and I'm grateful. Wonderful about your interaction with your daughter. It's tough being a parent, isn't it? I had a rough start with my usually laid back teen this morning...
Yes, Karen, so true, the attitude needs to line up too. Just one more thing God in His love shows us on the journey. It's all good!
Dot, me too, Dot. I'm glad God keeps working on us, right? He doesn't give up, that's how great His love is for us.
Ouch! Today. Sunday. Serving. Complaining. Attitude needed a major check!
