Of Sillyness, Science, & Significance

What type of Mother Hen Are You?
by Montessorimom.com: Educational Resource

Some things are just too silly. I just took a little test and found out that I'm a Groovy Mother Hen - LOL! Joel's home sick today so between making chicken noodle soup and unsheathing fruit popcicles, I'm catching up on some paperwork and some computer time. Does that make me groovy? My, oh my.

Science. Since my college background is in Science, I'm always thrilled when I discover a really cool article. Click here for a quick read about some strange and fantastical creatures our God made in the deep, dark sea. Wow! Have you ever heard of a sea spider the size of a dinner plate? Yikes!

And last but certainly not least, significance. My author friend Connie is hosting a writing contest until the end of February. She is collecting stories about someone who has made a difference in your life. Click here to visit her blog and find out more. Everyone is welcome to join in.

Well, enough computer time for today my friends. Other motherly and wifely tasks are calling my name...

Find out about our fun weekend in the post below and get ready to take the next step!

Live the adventure,
Susan

ha ha! I am an artistic mother hen! Who would have known.

I love how God's creation is so amazing that we are still finding new creatures.

Thanks for passing on the contest.

Praying your little guy will be better soon!
Much love,
Angela

Lovely blog!

And yet, the dinner plate-sized spider creeps me out!

Who says the Creator doesn't have a sense of humor? ;-)

Sounds like a good children's book.
I think you should write about that sea-spider!

Nothing wrong with being groovy, its the mother hen I am not sure about. :) I think the animals living in those harsh environments are the most interesting. Years ago when a submarine in was on went under the ice, we returned with some strange bivalves attached to the hull. I wish I had saved one now. Have a blessed day and thanks for your kind words.

Welcome Nickers and Ink - loved your site. You are quite the poet! And yes, the big spider is pretty creepy. I'm glad God kept it in the deep ocean :)

Sharon, hmm... good thought. At least maybe an article...

Greg, yes, a hen, I know, but then who was that cartoon character you like the most? Wasn't he a rooster - lol! And wow about that submarine experience. Very cool.

Okay all, so I said I needed to limit my responses, it's hard, I love interacting with you all... we'll see how it goes. Right now I've got to get my little one fed and ready for school!

I'm an Artsy Mother Hen ... whatever that means. They didn't give a description that other websites do when you take this kind of test.

And there wasn't a good answer for a couple of the questions, so I had to just pick one.

Looks like I'm groovy too. Unfortunately, on some of those answers, none applied to me.
Now why did you tell me about that spider? Well, it could be worse. It could be a giant caterpillar. Hope all is well with you! Hope everyone is better soon and you get all your things done.
