I gaze out the window this morning at the softly falling snow. The heavens are an expanse of brilliant white. It's hard to tell where the sky ends and the earth begins. Only the evergreens, tall and proud mark the vast boundary to the blanket of snow on the ground.
Tears dot my cheeks as I think of the tender love God has for humankind. His love is gentle, like the steady falling snow. The Father sends His love, cleansing us, causing the hearts of those who know Him to sink into the comfort of His presence, safe and secure.
There is no greater love than this that God would give His Son, His only begotten Son to save us. How can it be that Jesus, God the Son left His throne room in Heaven to come to earth set us free from the darkness of sin, to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, to make our hearts clean, to make us white as snow?
"...Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." Psalm 51:7
"...Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow..." Isaiah 1:18
"Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations." Psalm 100:4,5
"Hast thou entered into the treasuries of the snow?..." Job 38:22
Lord, thank You for Your treasure of snow, wonderful snow. Thank You for Your love and mercy. I praise You and lift up Your name, Creator, Savior, Father, and friend. You are beautiful to me and I see your hand in nature itself. I see Your expression of purity and goodness and righteousness. Thank You for Your forgiveness, for Your cleansing power, that saves, keeps, and satisfies. I am resting in Your love. Your daughter - Susan

We don't get very much snow where I live but we get a lot of rain. I feel the same way about rain as you do snow. It is raining now and cleansing the earth. All we have to do now is accept Jesus and cleanse ourselves. Great message today.
Beautiful post. We don't have snow here, but I'm enjoying yours.
So uplifting...
I needed that today.
Praise Him! I love His messages found in nature.

Haven't seen snow for about two years here. But I get the picture. The most remarkable of snow for me is the silence.
And silence before our Lord is something that will clean our inner being!
Have a blessed week - (((hugs))) - I read each single of your posts, even if I don't comment all the time. But I love coming here!
I love that comparison of the snow!
Hey I got something for you over at my blog!
